Physicians Formula Organic Wear

Physicians Formula is as eco-friendly as you can get, especially since it’s so accessible you can walk to the nearest drug store and pick it up.  Organic Wear is the first Ecocert Certified American organic make-up line.  Their products range from loose powder, bronzer, lipsticks, eye shadows and make-up removers, all of which are made with 100% certified organic ingredients.   With most of their Organic Wear products priced at 13.95 or less, you’ll be saving a lot of green, while going green.

Josie Maran Cosmetics

If you want a little more range from a cosmetic line, look no further than Josie Maran Cosmetics.  This line, developed by model Josie Maran and her partners, the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep uses natural and organic argan oil.  This incredible multitasking oil originates from the argan tree, in Moracco and has been used for centuries to renew and treat skin.  Maran utilizes the oil in most of her products, including cream blush, mascara, make-up primer and blendable foundation, with SPF.  The best thing about Maran’s line, beside the incredible glow that users rave about, is the cause that it supports.  The argan oil used for Maran’s products is harvested by a women’s cooperative in Moracco, whose profits go to support the women of the Berber tribe, providing them with health and education, as well as contributing to an ecosystem reforestation project so that their argan tree supply will never run out.  Now, that’s beautiful! The Josie Maran Cosmetics collection can be found in Sephora or on Sephora.com.  Prices range from $22-$56.

Cargo PlantLove

With a mantra like “Red Lips. Green Conscious.”  Cargo goes all out in providing consumers with quality 100% environmentally conscious products.  With an array of lip gloss, face palettes and foundations, Cargo delivers on the beauty-essentials front.  With Cargo’s PlantLove, there is no excess baggage, meaning their make-up is free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes and Petro-chemicals.  Though they say to never judge a book by its cover, PlantLove invites you to judge their environmental consciousness based on their packaging!  It’s made from corn!  All PlantLove products come in biodegradable packaging that can be composted, not trashed.  Cargo PlantLove is available at Sephora inside JC Penney and Macy’s.  Prices range from $16-$28.
