POST ELECTION….WHAT EVERYONE THOUGHT WOULDN’T HAPPEN….
A few weeks ago we published a post across our social media communities on Election 16′. We asked, “How do you feel about the election campaign? Are you for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?” All though this election has been one of the most entertaining- the feedback we received from our post was very dismal. Very few people commented on the posts across our social media platforms, and we didn’t receive a single e-mail from readers sharing their thoughts.
At first we thought, well maybe no one wanted to share their opinion because it was pointless. Last time anyone checked Donald Trump had no experience to qualify him to serve President. We all just knew Hillary was going to win anyway. Practically everyone was with her. In the final campaign moments of Election 16′ Hillary brought what I’d like to call secret weapons- Beyonce’ and Jay-Z.
LEFT TO RIGHT: JAY-Z, BEYONCE’, HILLARY CLINTON | RAP UP
Let’s face it….when Beyonce’ stands with something we all do. It’s just a natural reaction. Nothing to be ashamed of.
In a last minute attempt to find out what people actually thought about this year’s election we opted to check in with MSA Models. We posed the question to two models. One of the models declined to answer.
Liz Harlan SAID
“This upcoming election is both scary and funny. We’ve never had a candidate who seems so unfit for presidency that all we can do is laugh, VOTE, and hope for the best. Of course I am with Hillary Clinton.”
Most women were with her. Women outnumber men so we just knew because Hillary was a credible candidate for Presidency, having served as a Senator and Prosecutor; and she appealed to women, minorities, and the LGBT communities that she would certainly win Election 16′. She won the popular vote. But that wasn’t enough. In order for Clinton to win Presidency she would have had to win the electoral college
over in votes. Trump won the majority of electoral votes
by 270 votes.
EVERYBODY HATES TRUMP
Donald Trump has agitated almost every ethnicity during his election campaign with racist and sexists comments toward Mexicans, Muslims, and women. NO ONE would have thought the billion dollar real estate tycoon would win the United States Presidential election. Last week Actress and Comedian Nicole Byer took to Instagram express the importance of voting and why it’s important to use your voice by voting and standing behind politicians who support what’s important to you.
AT THE END OF THE DAY…WE ALL WANT TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT…
Despite the consensus that everyone’s worst nightmare has come true; with Trump winning the Presidential Election- whether you voted for Trump or Hillary we have to work as a collective to fight issues that matter to us most. That means all of us have to work together to make America great. But making America great starts with ourselves.
