PHOTO COURTESY : JIBRI ONLINE FLOWER P O W E RBy : Tiffany Tucker Much like history fashion too repeats itself as we’ve all bared witness to countless trends that die and resurrect. Sometimes, for better - like 80’s inspired leggings paired with a long-line shirt or sometimes for worst - like the 90’s harem pants trend. This season brings the return of fun and flirty floral prints. Very popular in the 60’s, florals made its return in the 90’s and as fashion would have it - almost 20 years later, florals has made its trendy return AGAIN. Its not unusual for florals to be indicative of spring, nevertheless floral prints are more popular this season, than ever - with plus size lines like Torrid, Asos Curve, and Evans pushing floral with a more updated look - mixed with stripes and pok-a-dots. If you are a little skeptical about being a walking trendy garden - have no fear - this season blooms EVERYTHING floral from bags to shoes to jewelry. I understand how considering a new trend can ring a sense of uncertainty so I’ve put three looks together for you. The Floral Skeptic for ladies who aren’t ready to dive right into floral prints just yet. , another look that keeps the floral prints fun and flirty and a finally a look for you bolder dolls out there. Embracing my inner recessionista - I made an effort to keep all the looks as affordable as possible. The Floral Skeptic
1. For the reluctant, go subtle but interesting. Pair florals with neutral colors add a little flair by incorporating the ever popular mens wear look with wool shorts and a tailored vest. *The t-shirt here has see through panels on the side to bring a little femininity to this menswear look. The Fun & Flirty Floral-ite
2. This look is cute, fun and flirty. The mix of brown and pink brings forth a playful look. I would suggest rolling up the sleeves of the denim jacket either 3 fold or 3/4 up ( elbow length) and add some sexy booties to top it off. The Flor-WOW3. This look is packed with WOW. In my head I refer to the dress above as the “ traveling frock” as various bloggers were sent samples of this dress for review - attracting more coverage than a British tabloid, this dress is an international fave. Please note when wearing bold prints its best NOT to add a lot of jewelry to compete with the print. You should go with a solid dark/neutral color ( depending on the base color of the print) jacket or sweater and for the bright sunny days ditch the jacket/sweater. For edge, complement your look with statement shoes. Where to Buy : 1. Items in this set: 2. Items in this set: 3. Items in this set:
